This is a space where both of my worlds collide: my fictional work and my true crime writing, where I can discuss cases and my writing life as a novel author. Along with true crime updates, I would like to include here bonus book content, short stories, and eventually, video and audio content, all in one place so readers don’t have to go across a gazillion social media accounts for my content. This is all new to me for now, but I would love for my readers and followers to join and grow with me here!

I am a small-town Canadian author in my mid-30s who loves to write about mysteries, true and fictional. When not writing, I love gardening, playing darts, Dungeons and Dragons, reading, cooking or baking. I share my home with my soon-to-be husband and five cats. My true crime content focuses on female killers, and is an off shoot of book research I delve into for my mystery series, “Beyond Dark,” which follows a criminal profiler, Alyssa Rawkesby, who specializes in the psychology of female serial killers. This series delves into her troubled past as the daughter of a narcissistic mother and a serial killer father, ghosts which haunt her to this day while she helps find and apprehend the most disturbing women to walk the earth.

My other mystery series, “Martha Holmes Mysteries,” follows Martha, a private investigator whose career takes an unexpected turn at the same time as her marriage falls apart, leaving her to navigate the world as a single woman in her 30s.
